6th New Year Cracker. Dalton Crags, Near Burton in Kendal. NW C5 Signed from south side of Burton in Kendal, parking at Grid Ref SD 552762. Complex wooded limestone area with a good path network. Short and longer technical courses plus one suitable for beginners. Starts 12.00 to 1.00pm. Prize giving 2.15pm.
Over printed courses. Electronic punching.. Fees £4.50/£2.50. Lots of Prizes.

SROC Gym Night. Broughton School Gym.  Gym nights include a mix of physical and technical training. All abilities are catered for and it's an excellent opportunity to improve your skills without getting lost!  It's also a great social event.  Sessions start at 7pm. 


Sun 7th  Warrior O.C. Ambleside Sprint Race.  Starts 13.00-14.00 from Rock and Run shop, 3-4 Cheapside, Ambleside.  Parking - anywhere in Ambleside.  EOD only - at Rock and Run. Sport Ident timing. Prizes donated by Rock and Run.  New 1:4000 map conforming to IOF Sprint Norms. A single 3km course following the same format used at major international races. Urban / park terrain. It is competitors own responsibility to cross roads safely. Young juniors should be accompanied.

Sat 13th 

SROC Club Handicap and Social. Knots Wood, GR 512616.  Registration from 1pm, mass start at 2pm.  Entry is free.  The Social and Prize giving is now confirmed as being held at the Victoria Institute at Caton.

SROC Street League 6. Chorley.   Score event: 40, 60 or 75 minutes
Starts 6.30 to 7.30 at Hop Packet Public House on Carr Lane, Chorley. Grid ref. SD590162, off Bolton Rd when coming south out of the centre of Chorley. Directions: From junction 8 on the M61 take the exit to Chorley and at the first roundabout turn left on the A6, south towards Chorley. Follow the A6 through Chorley centre. From the roundabout where the A6 changes it’s name from Lyons Lane South to Bolton Rd, travel about 800m and Carr Lane is on the right. The Hop Packet is on the right after about 100m.  Entry fee: £1 seniors/juniors free. Lights desirable, high visibility clothing essential.  Pub serves food till 8.00 pm but we’re going to try and negotiate an extension. Lights desirable, high visibility clothing essential.  Venue: Waterfront pub at west end of Preston Docks. Turn into the Docks by McDonald's on A583 Riversway road (Preston to Blackpool).
