League classes and scoring system

Classes

1. Open M

2. Open W

3. M55 and above

4. W55 and above

5. M14/M16

6. W14/W16

7. M12-

8. W12-

9. Novice M

10. Novice W

Best three scores to count from a possible five events.

Points per course

Short Novice/Easy/Yellow 20 points for winner,19 points for 2^nd etc

Long Novice/Easy/Orange 30, 29 etc

Technical/Loop/Light Green 40, 39 etc

Long Green (event 4) 50, 49 etc

Event 5: similar to street league scoring in that scoring rate in points per hour is calculated for all runners. Highest is awarded 40 points, all others are awarded points pro rata. e.g. if the winner scores at a rate of 1000 point per hour, you score 750 points per hour, you get 30 league points (1000/750)x40.

Prizes will be awarded at the Club Picnic at Great Tower on 12th July.

Scorer's decisions are final – bribes welcomed.
