Planners' Thanks and Comments:
Thank you all for taking part, we hope you enjoyed the fine evening in St. Anne’s.  The presentation and buffet afterwards was a fitting finale to the season.  Interestingly SROC competitors were outnumbered by those from elsewhere including four other orienteering clubs and four running clubs, testimony to the appeal of street-o as an enjoyable training activity.
Two controls were questioned and we’ve allowed the alternative answers to both.  Control number 39, TP 241, was misread by some as 211 and number 49, LP 7, was recorded by some as 5 and we agree the map circle may have been too far from the corner. The full 1:15,000 St. Anne’s map covers a very large area and trimming it by around 20% proved sensible.  The area we used was still so large no-one reached all forty controls although appropriately this season’s champion Steve Lang came closest with 910 points.
Thanks to those who assisted on the night.  Ian came out of retirement to provide a great deal of help at the start and appeared to enjoy it immensely.  Thanks also to Peter, John and Emily for processing the results promptly for the presentation.

Bill and Dawn Lock
Street League Co-Ordinator’s Comments:
Bill and Dawn are to be congratulated on their efficient organisation of both the event and the social. With their band of helpers, they managed to process the results speedily so that prizegiving was able to follow promptly after the food. Appropriately Steve and Karen won their courses on the night, reflecting their dominance over the season. Personally my run was a complete shambles. Almost every mistake in the book - changing strategy, mis-writing answers, parallel error, late back and banging into a wall to boot (wonderful bruise on my thigh).  With the scale of the map, and the big hole in the centre (the golf course) St Anne's is a difficult area to judge, and several people acquired heavy penalites.

The turnout this year has been excellent. Look forward to seeing everyone again next season. Glenys Ferguson
Lost Property
Maroon folder left at St. Anne’s. Also still unclaimed is the head torch from Fulwood West. This is a petzl with a blue, lime & black headband. Did the owner pick up Les Ward's headtorch instead?
