Final Positions

Judging by the number of favourable comments that we received, SROC and PFO must do this again next year. If we start earlier in sorting venues and permissions we can get publicity out to attract even more newcomers/beginners than we had - an ideal way to get into O.

I would like to thank all the organisers; Sarah Watkins, Jon Carberry, Alex Finch, Brian Jackson, Geoff Dickenson and Peter Edge (and Alex Finch again!) for putting on a varied and challenging set of events.

I have updated the results to include Roeburndale - mostly just scoring those who had done at least 2 events, and were therefore going challenge at the sharp end.

Mike Dent and Ken Taylor must win the M6 prize for going to each event (actually Peter Knott went to them all but spent Roeburndale car parking - and he was very good at that too!).

There were some sparkling performances from the juniors - especially Katrin and Zoe Harding, Ben Smith on the long course, Jacob Roberts and Sandy Hetherington. But the Knotts Wood Prize (freedom of Knotts Wood for life) must surely go to Tony Davies of MDOC, who as an M55 swept all before him on the long course.

NB. Organisers have been given their average points score in their other events. All those who attempted their correct course (and short hard counts as long hard too) at Knotts Wood have been given 10 points!
