SROC Street League 2021-22
Event: 11 - Cottam (PRIZEGIVING) Date: 9th March 2022

Scoring Format
Course Duration This is a 60 mins score event with a mass start. Aim is to collect as many controls in any order within the time limit.
NOTE Penalties for a late return are 1pt for each second.

Fees
Entry fee/head: Seniors £3.00, Juniors (under 18) £1.00
Shadowing Adult: Free Pairs: 2maps, 2 Fees, but only 1 Answer Sheet

Procedure
Competitors take part at their own risk. You MUST wear high visibility clothes (suitable bibs are available for loan), torches are strongly recommended. Take care with traffic & when crossing roads. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult, 16 & 17 year olds can compete without an adult providing there is written consent from a parent/guardian. Pairs MUST stay together.

When you arrive you are advised to look at the blank map of the area which shows hazards which may not be on the map you are given at the start. Also check the Safety Notice and any other information on display. If you are new to the events it is very useful to look at the picture examples of ‘Know What You Are Looking For’. The position of the control is marked by a dot in the centre of the circle – this should indicate such aspects as which side of the road/path the control is, how far along a road/path you will have to go, proximity to a junction etc. You should also note what scale the map is, they are usually between 1:10000 and 1:15000. For this map the scale is 1: 10000

Arrangements for the Event: Registration will be open from 6.00 pm. If you want your map stapled to the answer sheet then it will be kept until just before the start. If you want to keep them separate then you will keep the answer sheet. The maps etc. will be given out before the start with the map face down. 1 Minute before the start you will be allowed to turn them over study them up to the Start time (7pm). REMEMBER you will need a dibber which you will need to Clear and Check before the start. There will NOT be a Start box as it is a mass start. At the finish there will be a number of Finish boxes any of which you can dib. You should then go into the pub and obtain a print out - this needs to be stapled to your Answer Sheet and handed in.
If you haven’t got a dibber or want to borrow one of ours then please let me know so I can allocate one to you. Remember a lost dibber will cost £30. As mentioned on the information sheet on the web I have various ways of attaching the dibber if you want.

The Courses close at: 8.10 pm
Emergency phone numbers are on your Answer Sheet and on the Map.

Apres run: Here at the The Ancient Oak Food available until 9:00pm - either order before you run or immediately on completing your run
