As organiser, thanks to all the helpers who make running of an event like this possible, and thanks to the weather gods who provided the interval of brilliant weather for the event.  The rain was torrential as I arrived early in the morning, and it was starting to hail as I got home and unpacked the car.  Perfectly timed.

Particular thanks to all those who allowed us to reuse their maps; and those who waited patiently while we did, especially the two on the red course who had a quite unreasonably long wait, without any complaint.  The combination of the sunshine and the sucessful o-zone brought us a lot more entries on some courses than we were expecting.

All those who recycled their map and left me their address, I will have a replacement to you by post in a few days.  If anyone didn't leave their address, but would still like a replacement, then let me know and I'll sort it out.

I have one item of lost property; a green headband.

At the landowner's request, the car parking fee is to be donated to charity.  £182 is on its way to St John's Hospice in Lancaster.  Thank you all for your generosity.

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, and look forward to seeing you at many future events.

A good district event should attract plenty of newcomers and improving juniors and provide the right sort of courses for them. Roy organised an excellent event and Gavin as planner, very effectively assisted by John, provided good courses of the right level of difficulty and distance for newcomers and juniors. This is not always achieved. We heard only praise and no complaints for these courses. However, some Green and Blue competitors were not happy with the location of no 128 (boulder). They were right. It was on an unmapped boulder, but having reviewed it I also have my doubts about the mapped boulder. I apologise for this and hope that it did not spoil anyone's run.
