Halton, Lancaster. New area and ISSOM map. The centre @ Halton LA2 6NB Start times 6.30-7 for prologue. Prologue followed by final at approximately 7.15. Please note: this event involves use of public roads for both Prologue and Final so any competitors under the age of 16 on the day of the event must be accompanied by someone 16 or over for both races.
Directions: from M6 junction 34 head east on A683 for 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Denny Beck Lane. This is narrow with passing places. Cross the river by the even more narrow bridge, allow oncoming traffic to clear the bridge before starting across. On the far side of the river turn right at the crossroads onto Low Road. The Centre is on the left after 0.2 miles. Park in the Centre car park, of if full park along Low Road.
Registration will open from 6.00 pm in the Centre coffee shop, up the stairs. If you have already entered the series and paid in advance please report to registration to be noted as present. Otherwise you may choose to enter just this event or the remaining five events. Entering the rest of the series entitles you to a discount of £1 per event.
The Prologue start is on the playing field close to the Centre car park. Starts are from 6.30 until 7.00. Please return to download immediately after finishing your run.
The Final start queue will be formed behind the Centre building, but with the start kite location the same as before. Please be ready to run in the final from approximately 7.15. Slowest goes first. The Final includes a "free order" section. This means that a group of controls, identified on the control descriptions and on the map by letters instead of numbers, may be visited in any order as you think best. You must go to all the lettered controls before moving on to the next numbered control.
The coffee shop will b e open specially for us throughout the event. Please patronise it if possible. Toilets are available in the Centre.
