Map
1:7500, 5m contours
Terrain and Safety Notes:
Mainly coniferous forest with
some open fell and an extensive path network. Both courses are contained within
the perimeter road, which is itself out
of bounds.
Extensive thinning throughout
most of the woodland has recently been completed. Much of the forest is still
very runnable, but there are localised areas of deep ruts and brashings. The map has been updated to take account of this
work but does not mark these localised areas. Some paths and tracks are less
distinct than they were, particularly at junctions.
There are some red/white tapes
left in the forest from the felling work – these can be ignored.
The park will be very busy
with other visitors, please be courteous and give them and any dogs a wide
berth.
Entry fees:
£5 Seniors (or family group entering on one SI
card), £2 Juniors.
Courses:
Mass start 60
minute Odds and Evens score event
