GRADE THREE CONTROLLERS’ COURSE

Saturday 7^th November 2009 10am – 5pm.

Great Tower Wood Scout Camp near Windermere, Cumbria. Grid Ref SD 394914

Free to NWOA Members. Priority given to NWOA Members applying before Oct 1^st. Maximum numbers approx 15.

It is anticipated that Clubs will contribute towards participants’ travelling expenses. Please check with your Club Treasurer.

Attendance at this type of course is a necessary part of the Grade Three Controller Qualification needed by Level 3 Event Controllers.

You should have planned at least one C4 District Colour-coded event (eg Cumbrian Galoppen or similar) and probably Organised one to gain maximum benefit from the Course.

Please bring a Packed Lunch (Tea/Coffee provided) and also outdoor clothing/orienteering gear (compass etc) as there will be a practical session.

Final details and some Pre-Course work will be sent later.

Please include a list of your Planning and Organising experience.

Also state your familiarity with SportIdent: Nil/ Primed SI Boxes/ Set Up Event/ Operated at an event.

And OCAD: Version 8 or 9; Drawn maps/ Edited maps/ set up event in OCAD8/ Set up event and courses in OCAD9.

With this information, we hope to be able to set the exact content of the course at the most beneficial level.
