Relay Competitions

With the CSC qualifier out of the way, my attention has now turned to the relays, namely the JK, British and Harvester.

JK relays: Monday 24th March at Eridge Old Park, Tunbridge Wells

British relays: Sunday 20th April at Culbin, Morayshire

Harvester: Saturday 17th May in High Wycombe area?

The JK and British relays have courses suitable for all levels of runners, beginners through to elites. If you fancy having a go at your first relay competition but would worry about letting the side down – don’t worry! Just give me an indication of the level of seriousness that you’d like to compete at and I’ll try and match you with other like-minded individuals.

For both the JK and British please provide me with your BOF, SI number, age class, any course / leg preference (see the table below) that you have and a cheque (relays are being subsidised by the club this year so the cost is £3 seniors, £1 juniors) for each run.

I need JK entries by Friday 15th February at the very latest and British entries by Friday 21st March at the very latest.

The Harvester is a slightly different prospect, it’s the night time relay champs for teams of 7 or 9. The majority of the legs are green standard so it’s not so suitable for novice orienteers. The race tends to start around 11pm and finish ~ 5 or 6am. No cheque required at the moment, just an indication that you would like to run (by Friday 21st March) so that I can gauge levels of interest.
