SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) New Year Cracker potential cancellation

The approach road to this event at Ulpha Fell, and all the available parking areas, are currently treacherous with ice. As this is unlikely to thaw sufficiently before New Year's Day the organiser has decided to seek an alternative venue. This is likely to be Lancaster University, pending permissions. Check back here nearer the event - The Cracker must go on!

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Compass Sport Cup - Your Club needs you

The qualifying round for the Compass Sport Cup takes place on Sunday 24th January at Watergrove, Wardle, Rochdale (SELOC Regional Event), GR SD 907174. Postcode OL12 9NJ. Courses: Orange to Brown count towards the final total. To qualify for the final in October (Burbage SYO) we need to win the qualifying round. We need as many runners as possible as everyone's run is important. The top 25 from each club count towards the final total but every team member can play their part by pushing our opponents down the results list. We won this event in 2008 and it would be great to be there again. If you want to be entered please email Club Captain Mark Edwards giving age class, BOF no and SI card no.

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Club Welfare Officer

The SROC Welfare Offcier is Sue Roome. Sue's role is to help protect young people and vulnerable adults within the club. She is the person to contact if anyone has any concern that a club member may be being bullied or abused. The idea is that if all concerns, however small, are reported to one person, then a real problem should be picked up quicker. More details here.
